Roberts-Smith, a decorated former corporal in the SAS, has consistently denied the allegations as “baseless”, saying they were “completely without any foundation in truth”. It was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”On Monday, McClintock said the allegation was “beyond ridiculous… it’s insane”. McClintock told the trial Monday the seriousness of the allegations against Roberts-Smith, and the damage to his previously stellar reputation, “justifies the largest award of aggravated damages ever in this country”. McClintock had previously told the court that she would appear and give evidence.
