By Luke Nozicka|lnozicka@njadvancemedia.com|BERKELEY — A benefit at a pizzeria in Bayville will raise money for the children of a 32-year-old township police sergeant who died Friday after suffering a stroke while on duty. Twenty-five percent of the proceeds at the benefit Wednesday at Tony’s Pizza will go to the children of Sgt. Wray, a member of the Berkeley police force for nine years, leaves behind her two children, ages 2 and 4, her fiance, Berkeley Sgt. Wray joined the Berkeley police force as a member of the Patrol Division in 2008 after graduating from the Atlantic County Police Academy. Berkeley police Chief Karin DiMichele said Wray excelled in that division, quickly moving up the ranks to sergeant in 2015.
