The 20-12 scoreline reflected a hard-fought game, but the home side’s defensive prowess proved critical in preserving their 100 per cent record in the competition. Connacht seemed to adjust well however - two successive penalties quickly followed and their maul delivered a second minute try. Ultan Dillane was the lineout provider, hooker Shane Delahunt claimed the touchdown, and Conor Fitzgerald added the extras. Within minutes Benetton had taken the lead through Garbisi, although he missed a second penalty.
