This week’s primaries are a good example of why it would be so hard for Mr. Sanders to catch up. While not all delegates have been allocated yet, Mr. Biden has so far won 66.9% of those awarded from Tuesday’s contests. A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll released Sunday showed the race doesn’t look better for Mr. Sanders going forward. Mr. Sanders has said he would do everything he could to help Mr. Biden win a general election if he were to lose the nomination. But if Mr. Biden becomes the nominee, “Our role is clear: Help him to defeat Donald Trump, ” she said.
