Bersamin on Thursday underscored the importance of full cooperation among workers in the criminal justice system to achieve a swift and fair administration of justice. Bersamin stressed this while conducting a dialogue with trial court judges, prosecutors, and representatives of the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) to assess Cebu City’s adherence to the Justice Zone project on criminal justice system. The Justice Zone project is one of the projects of the Justice Sector Coordinating Council (JSCC) which is supported by the Justice Sector Reform Program: Governance in Justice (GOJUST) under a financial grant by the European Union (EU). Justice Zone was first launched in Quezon City.
