The Service stressed that it does not have any official account known as Ghana Prisons Service Protocol. The Prisons Service further clarified that all its official information and communications are disseminated only through recognised and duly authorised channels. It listed its verified platforms as Facebook (Ghana Prisons Service and Ghana Prisons TV), TikTok (@ghana.prisons.service), X formerly Twitter (@ghanaprisons), and Instagram (@ghanaprisonsservice1). The Ghana Prisons Service reaffirmed its commitment to public safety, emphasising its mandate of safe custody, reformation, and rehabilitation of inmates, while urging the public to remain vigilant against misinformation on social media.
