A passenger ferry has served Big Tancook Island for many years, allowing pedestrians and cyclists to travel to and from the mainland. One of the main roads on Big Tancook Island, where about 135 people live year-round. Kat Swift is a resident of Big Tancook Island and is concerned about how visitors to the island will drive when a new car ferry starts later this year.
