Leaders Buriram United's shock 1-0 loss at Chonburi didn't matter much on Sunday night as fellow Thai League 1 title challengers Port also suffered a 4-1 home defeat to Chiang Rai United. Despite the loss, Buriram held on to the top spot, but Port slumped to fifth place. Prachuap were given a hope for recording their fourth straight league victory over the Kirins by Amorn Thammanarm, who struck in the 15th minute. Muang Thong United have shown signs of improvement under new coach Alexandre Gama, who now has a 2-1 win-loss record with the Kirins.
