A fierce battle for the ODM Busia gubernatorial flagbearer is shaping up, as five political bigwigs compete to succeed exiting incumbent Sospeter Ojaamong. Key allies to ODM leader Raila Odinga will be seeking his endorsement for the position, even after Ojaamong declared his support for Deputy Governor Moses Mulomi as his successor. I am declaring today, it's Mulomi all the way to becoming the second governor of Busia county," he said. Other candidates seeking the ODM ticket include former Attorney General and current Busia Senator Amos Wako, Busia Woman Representative Florence Mutua, former Funyula MP Dr Paul Otwoma and Dr Lucas Meso.
