He recently spoke with Forbes about his book and baseball’s ongoing new-school vs. old-school debate. And then it just seems to me that there’s a little bit of this assumption going on that old-school guys aren’t analytical. I don’t think the quality of the game, the way the game is played, is as good as it was 15-20 years ago. We need the baseball guys around because those are the guys that have the experience in the game. I believe there needs to be enough old-school guys that don’t get pushed out of the game.
