Mr Shorten challenged Prime Minister Scott Morrison to be a 'hope merchant' and stop the constant doom and gloom, and provide a workable timeline. 'What we need most of all - even beyond quarantine facilities that work, even beyond vaccinations - is we need hope. 'We need hope and the way we get hope is by leadership. Mr Stefanovic then teased Mr Shorten about whether it was 'not too late' for him, after Mr Morrison's dive in popularity in the latest Newspoll.
