Bishop Kortu K. Brown of the New Water in the Desert Apostolic Ministries has been elected President of the Liberia Council of Churches or LCC. In his remarks following the elections, the newly elected President of the council, Bishop Kortu K. Brown thanked The Almighty God for the opportunity afforded them to serve God’s people and the nation. Bishop Brown stressed the need to help strengthen ecumenism in the country at the level of the young people. Bishop Harries, a former President of the Liberia Council of Churches challenged the Christian community to continue to work for unity and strengthening of democracy in Liberia. Meanwhile, the Liberia Council of Churches has resolved to continue to advocate for the strengthening of democratic governance in the country.
