Bitcoin traded below the $33,000 level on Thursday and the entire market capitalisation of all 10,000+ crypto assets in existence shed billions during midnight trading sessions. Bitcoin has lost 2.87 per cent in a week. Bitcoin has lost 49.64 per cent of the all-time high it attained three months ago. Its dominance has dropped to 44.3 per cent, while ethereum has seen its dominance grow by 18.3 per cent. On Thursday, ethereum held the second largest position in terms of market capitalisation with $251bn.
