BANDAR PERMAISURI: It could be a bleak Hari Raya Aidifiltri celebration for two dri­vers and four passengers of a double-decker Express Sani bus. Driver Hilmi Mamat, 46, said he noticed smoke coming out from the back of the bus when it was at the junction. He scrambled to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher that was on board but the flames spread too fast. The passengers were later transferred to another express bus that was heading to Kuala Lumpur. But thank God, we managed to escape unharmed,” said Addier­nizam, who was heading back to his hometown, Subang in Selangor, to celebrate Aidil­fitri.
