KUALA TERENGGANU: As others in the village go about celebrating Hari Raya, Rosiana Rosli can only sit and watch from her old house in Kam­­pung Padang Kemunting, Batu Rakit. Rosiana, 37, lost her right leg to diabetes and could lose the left one as well, complaining of no sensation in her foot anymore. “These days, Hari Raya is not the same anymore as when I could still move around,” she said at her home. She used to work as a cook at a university but had to quit after her leg was amputated four years ago. Although there is no big celebration at her home, Rosiana said she was happy that her only child would at least have some new clothes to wear for Hari Raya.
