“It’s a huge boost for us,” Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella told the media after his team’s second straight win. Dzingel scored his first goal in a Blue Jackets sweater, and dished out two assists; Duchene scored a goal. The Blue Jackets were in third place in the Metropolitan Division, one point ahead of Pittsburgh and Carolina, and with as many points as wild-card Montreal. Of course the Blue Jackets could salvage something sustainable even if they fail to make the playoffs. The Blue Jackets aren’t thinking that far ahead right now.
