The Herder has been around since 1935, and has been dominated by teams from St. John's, Grand Falls-Windsor, Corner Brook and Conception Bay North. Kyle Tibbo is captain of the Conception Bay South-based Baker Flooring Blues. Forward Kris Hodge is an offensive star for the Conception Bay South-based Baker Flooring Blues senior hockey team. Blues tender Matt Jenkins was named playoff MVP after leading the Conception Bay South-based team to the Avalon East Senior Hockey League championship on March 13. A month from now, Blues will also host the 2026 Allan Cup, Canada’s national senior hockey championship.
