voice actor Eugene Mirman, who plays Gene Belcher on the show, has shared that he is on the mend after being rescued from a fiery car wreck. On Tuesday, Mirman crashed into Bedford Toll Plaza (which NBC Boston reports is a notorious site for crashes, with work ongoing to convert the toll plaza into an open road plaza). He was pulled out of the wreck by a member of New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte's security detail. Ayotte happened to be near the scene at the time of the accident.Mirman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Today he shared that he is “thankful beyond words to be here and doing relatively alright, all things considered” and shared his gratitude for the rescuers, first responders, and healthcare workers who have cared for him.
