Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun fronts US Senate hearing into compliance failures, reveals his mammoth pay check and shocking whistleblower confessions


Mr Calhoun faced hard-hitting questions from the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations on Tuesday in which Senator Richard Blumenthal branded the hearing a “moment of reckoning”. "As a former federal prosecutor and state attorney general I think that the evidence is near-overwhelming to justify that prosecution," Mr Blumenthal said. Mr Calhoun said Boeing was “totally committed” to addressing the safety concerns of its stakeholders and called the families’ losses “gut wrenching”. They were outraged Mr Calhoun was paid $32.8 million in 2023, an almost 50 per cent increase from what he received in 2022, which was $22.6 million.
