Photo: MinistryDHAKA, April 6, 2026 (BSS) – Boeing Vice-President Paul Righi today paid a courtesy call on Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam and State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat at Bangladesh Secretariat here. They also expressed interest in leasing Boeing aircraft to address the country’s current aviation requirements. The minister stressed the need to expedite the leasing process to strengthen national aviation capacity. As part of a broader fleet modernization strategy, the government is moving to finalize a 14-aircraft Boeing purchase while pursuing interim Airbus leasing to bridge a five-year delivery gap.
