On a recent phone call, I was recalling the so-called “Lost Decade” for the global stock markets. In early 2010, if you talked about the “last decade” or the “lost decade” it was really the same thing. ENTER…THE BOND BEAR MARKETWhy then, are so many investors seemingly oblivious to the same type of development in the bond market…right now? It has a lot to do with the idea that bonds are the Scottie Pippen to the stock market’s Michael Jordan (i.e. That’s well short of a decade, and whether you use 2012, 2016 or another starting point, that lost decade concept is likely to seep into the investment mainstream as we go forward.
