Boris Johnson will today lead British tributes to the victims of 9/11, amid tension in the special relationship in the wake of the chaotic withdrawal from Kabul. He will mark the 20th anniversary of the attacks on the Twin Towers in New York from his official country residence. The message will be played at a memorial event organised by the 'Since 9/11' organisation at the Olympic Park. Sir Keir said: '20 years ago today the world was in shock as we witnessed an unprecedented and despicable act of violence on US soil. '9/11 saw the deadliest terrorist attack in history... with almost 3,000 people tragically murdered... including 67 people from the UK.
