Boris Johnson to gut Cabinet in major July reshuffle - ‘smell of blood in the air’

With the exception of the Home Secretary, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Foreign Secretary and Health Secretary, it seems Mr Johnson is planning on gutting his current Cabinet. Most of the replaced members in Mr Johnson’s upcoming Cabinet reshuffle are expected to be women in a bid to shore up his position as Prime Minister. Mr Johnson reportedly decided not to shift any major Cabinet positions until after Britain has overcome the worst of the coronavirus pandemic, which is why July has been pencilled in. According to The Mirror, Social Care minister Helen Whately, Public Health Under-Secretary Jo Churchill and former sport minister Tracey Crouch are all up for promotion. Last month, Boris Johnson announced Ms Crouch would chair an independent review of English football in the aftermath of the Super League incident.
