The Prime Minister is due to make the announcement on which areas of England will go into Tiers 1,2 and 3, on Thursday. The restrictions by area will replace the full national coronavirus lockdown ending on December 2. The final decision will be made by the Prime Minister, the Government has said. And areas placed in Tier 3 will be given rapid turnaround tests to help bring down infections and reduce restrictions. Areas in Tier 3 will get £4 per head of population per month, while Tier 2 councils will get £2 per head of population per month.
