Aquaman ruled over Christmas Day with a whopping $22.065 million Tuesday gross. That’s not exactly bad company, and even when adjusted for inflation, Aquaman’s $22m Tuesday gross is in seventh place among Christmas Day loot. Nonetheless, Aquaman crossed $100 million domestic on its fifth day of domestic release after crossing $500m worldwide on Monday. Both Hobbit movies earned around 1.36x their respective “after Christmas weekend” frames, which would give Aquaman a domestic finish of between $224m and $248m. Heck, Rogue One and I Am Legend earned around 1.65x the ten-day totals, which would push Aquaman past $275, domestic.
