Box Office: 'Bumblebee' Nears $300M, 'Spider-Man' Tops $275M, 'Mary Poppins' Passes $250M

Walt Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns earned $15.8 million (-44%) in its third weekend to bring its cume to $138.7m in 19 days. Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse earned $13 million (-30%) in its fourth weekend for a robust $133.8m 24-day total with $275m worldwide. And that the movie earned rave reviews, decent audience reception and a strong multiplier provides ample insurance. But Mary Poppins 2 and Transformers 0.5 cost $130 million and had greater expectations than something like Sing. Think $130m for Bumblebee, $315m for Aquaman and $175m for Mary Poppins Returns, which equals $620m domestic.
