A teenage boy has pleaded not guilty to murdering a nine-year-old girl who was stabbed to death at home. The 16-year-old, who cannot be named because of his age, is charged with killing Aria Thorpe in Weston-super-Mare on December 15. Avon Coroner’s Court previously heard Aria died from a single stab wound to her chest. He said: 'It's hard to put into words how devastating it is, our little Aria, that you're up there with the angels looking over us. Aria's family on her mother's side said she was 'the most beautiful little soul - happy-go-lucky, full of light, and joy'.
