It was a case of love turning sour when a boyfriend simply called Solomon, a student of Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi allegedly stabbed his live-in lover, late Patience Zakkari, to death over a minor disagreement between them. Vasty further narrated that the boyfriend who was heading to the campus to look for her met them at the small gate and started insulting and calling her names, a development that upset her while she just walked away from the scene to the house. It was further gathered that the problem continued while at home when the boyfriend was said to have bounced on her late in the night while all efforts to separate them by other students failed. In an effort to free herself, she was said to have hit him with a bottle on the head prompting him too to use the same broken bottle to stab her at the back. Neighbours rushed her to the hospital for treatment and on Saturday she was confirmed dead having lost too much blood.
