In March, a new system was introduced at the Sainsbury’s car park in Braintree, site banning cars from using its car park when it shuts at night. Resident Mavourneen Moore said: “I volunteer at Braintree District Mencap and have for many years used Sainsbury’s car park to park my car after 6pm and usually leave before 9.30pm. “I am not happy to have received a letter from Euro Car Parks informing me that my parking in the car park goes against their parking rules and being threatened with an £85 fine. "Sainsbury’s has confirmed they have spoken with Euro Car Parks. "We would like to thank all those who contacted us in relation to the confusion regarding the car parking facilities at Sainsbury’s in Braintree town centre.”
