Brampton shooting victim identified as gang leader who vowed to ‘go on the right path’

A Brampton man gunned down in a hail of bullets has been identified as a father and notorious gang leader in the GTA who recently vowed to “go on the right path” in life. He had first-degree murder against him charges dropped in a Toronto court in 2003 in the fatal shooting of Amar Joseph “Green Eye” Young, after a witness refused to testify. Willis pleaded guilty in Brampton court to possession of a restricted firearm and possession of a prohibited firearm in 2007 and was jailed. After two years in a Caribbean jail, Willis was acquitted, and in April 2012 he was deported back to Canada. The father of two acknowledged he had broken the law and “jeopardized society.” When released on parole, he vowed to “go on the right path,” the Star reported.
