Jose Antonio Dias Toffoli, the head of the court, sided with the Netflix streaming service yesterday after a temporary injunction banning the film was issued on Wednesday. “One cannot suppose that a humorous satire has the ability to weaken the values of the Christina faith, whose existence is traced back more than 2,000 years and which is the belief of the majority of Brazilian citizens,” Mr Toffoli wrote in his ruling.
