Mission District-based brewery Standard Deviant and popular local bakery Breadbelly are both set to open second locations at the pier, the San Francisco Business Times reported. A mixed-use neighborhood spanning the 28 acres of Pier 70 that are owned by Brookfield Properties has been in the planning process for several years now. “It really does take your breath away,” Brookfield Properties Senior Director of Development Tim Bacon told the Business Times. Brookfield Properties did not respond to SFGATE's requests for comment by publication time. Building 12's new tenants are on leases lasting from three to 10 years, according to the Business Times, with some tenants on lease terms that were negotiated prior to the pandemic.
