Breast cancer awareness drives into SouthlandBrittany Pickett/Fairfax NZ Registered nurse Trish Sole inspects the breast cancer model torso outside of the Breast Cancer Foundation Pink Caravan in Invercargill in 2014. Health professionals are pleading for Southlanders to make the most of the New Zealand Breast Cancer pink caravan during its visit next week. They wanted people to notice symptoms and signs of breast cancer as soon as changes started to occur, Manahi said. During the visit the Pink Caravan was emphasising the importance and awareness of male checks and regular checks for women older than 45. Visual and hands-on displays of breast cancer symptoms will be on display and people can learn how to feel for a lump using prosthetic breasts.
