Ireland will bear the brunt of the gales but the Met Office has a yellow weather warning in place for Northern Ireland, the west of Britain and northeast Scotland. The Met Office said that disruption was “likely” and warned people to take extra care when driving on exposed routes such as bridges or high open roads.
