The Cullinan Diamond is the largest diamond ever discovered and experts have used pioneering laser technology to establish its origins. The Cullinan Diamond weighed 3,107 carats in its uncut form and now consists of nine large stones and ninety-six smaller stones. The Cullinan Diamond was taken under heavy police escort to Sandringham, and formally presented on King Edward VII’s 66th birthday. The Cullinan is the largest diamond ever found by size, but is outweighed by the black Sergio diamond discovered in Brazil.
