Famous British motorbike maker Norton Motorcycles has collapsed into administration after struggling to pay its taxes. BDO has taken over Norton Motorcycle Holdings and Norton Motorcycles UK. Mr Garner, 51, tried to revive the business with new models and last year said it was performing strongly and was planning a new factory. However, this month Mr Garner told his local newspaper in Birmingham that Norton owed HM Revenue & Customs £300,000. Neither Mr Garner or Norton could be reached for comment last night.
