A Briton who was arrested in connection with the Sh360 million cocaine haul in Mombasa has been released, intelligence sources said on Tuesday. An official from the US-based Drug Enforcement Agency said the Briton had no links with the seizure. MSC Posetano is said to have been sneaked out of berth number 16 of Mombasa port and is currently in the Kismayo Port in Somalia. Suspicion arose after MSC Nicole, which docked at the same berth, was hastily ordered to offload its cargo. Investigations are now focused on how the vessel purported to have ferried the drugs disappeared from the port.
