The political leader of the Liberty Party (LP), Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine who was not in the Country when several of his Party’s executives unceremoniously endorsed the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) of George Weah has expressed regret over the decision by his colleagues. Speaking to hundreds of his partisans upon his return at the Party’s headquarters in Sinkor while away from the Country, said those who endorsed the CDC presidential candidate (George Weah) behind his back was done individually and not the Liberty Party in general. Brumskine wondered as to what he did to those who have decided to abandoned the Party, terming the action of Karnwea, Bility and Sanvee as a scheme intended to bring shame to the Liberty Party, and further clarified that the ‘purported’ endorsement does not represent the official position of the Party in the pending December 26 runoff presidential election. At the same time, the LP in a statement issued last weekend under the signature of its Acting Chairman, Darius Dillon, said that “Liberty Party states unequivocally that, as of now, the Party has not endorse neither of the two political parties in the runoff election.
