Belgium’s capital Brussels is on its highest terror alert, meaning that a ‘threat is extremely serious’. Officers finally apprehended the man in a café in the Schaerbeek neighbourhood earlier this morning. Shots were fired around 7.15pm near Place Sainctelette, Boulevard d’Ypres and Boulevard du Ninième de Ligne. Justice Minister Vincent Van later revealed the suspect was known to police over people smuggling and illegal residence in the country.
