The Peoples Democratic Party has reacted to the New Year message of General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) “The party described President @MBuhari’s new year message as completely uninspiring, tasteless, repetitive, vacuous and does not galvanize any form of hope for a despairing nation like ours,” the party stated. The party explained that as stipulated in the 1999 Constitution as amended, Buhari must surrender power on May 29, 2023 when his second term ends. “Whether President @MBuhari likes it or not, he and his @OfficialAPCNg will exit the arena at the end of this tenure. Additionally, PDP which said Buhari should have been sober in his New Year message, demanded an apology from him for the gross violation of human rights that characterise his regime.
