13 people died Monday after a building collapsed in the Egyptian capital Cairo, in a string building disasters. The prosecution, “Ahram Online” reports, detained both the resident and the contractor responsible for the walls’ destruction. A building collapsed in Beheira on Sunday killing three people, including a 10-year-old child, “Ahram Online” notes. On Saturday, two people lost their lives after an old building collapsed in Alexandria. Another two-storey building collapsed in the Gomrok neighborhoud of west Alexandria on 6 July, resulting in one fatality.
