It appears that the rift between Burna Boy and South Africans keeps widening as the Nigerian Afrofusion artiste has been dropped from the Afropunk concert in South Africa. However, organisers of the concert on Friday announced that after a joint discussion with the “Anybody” crooner’s team, it was agreed that “now isn’t the right time” for Burna Boy to come to South Africa. “Hey SA fam: After a joint discussion with Burna Boy’s team, we are announcing that he will no longer be part of Joburg’s 2019 line-up. The decision was made following protests and petitions against Burna Boy’s inclusion in the concert. The news of Burna Boy’s withdrawal from the Afropunk concert was met with mixed reactions.
