(Jean Delisle/CBC)Food banks losing food tooAs many as 11 local food banks will also lose all their perishable food, according to Michael Maidment, executive director of the Ottawa Food Bank. Maidment said the centres are being contacted by restaurants and grocery stores offering food, and while they welcome the donations, it'll be difficult to accept perishable items until they get power back themselves.
