PTI PictureChennai, Nov. 24 (PTI): The By-election to the RK Nagar Assembly constituency here, which fell vacant after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa died last December, will be held on December 21, the Election Commission announced today. The announcement comes on December, 21, the Madras High Court had said it expected the EC to hold by-election in RK Nagar by December 31. The by-poll in RK Nagar, previously scheduled for April 12, was subsequently cancelled following allegations that voters were being bribed. The amount was allegedly channelled for distribution to voters, income tax sources had told PTI in April.
