MANILA, Philippines — The powerful Commission on Appointments (CA) on Monday swiftly approved the ad interim appointments and nomination of 15 senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). With three members of the CA physically present and 17 participating through video conference, the body confirmed the ad interim appointments and nomination of the senior officers, including that of AFP Southern Luzon Command chief Maj. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. and AFP spokesperson Maj. Gen. Edgardo Arevalo.
