Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Rezaul Karim Chowdhury has ordered to complete repair works of all the roads in the port city that were damaged in the current monsoon as soon as possible. The mayor told The Financial Express, "People are now suffering a lot due to the worst condition of roads in the port city. Considering the people's sufferings, CCC is working to quickly repair the damaged roads in the port city which were damaged this monsoon. Around 25 to 30 per cent of the roads in the city are getting damaged due to rain every year." "We need around Tk 600 million (Tk 60 crore) to repair the affected roads in the city.
