But that has long been the case, and there is every reason to think this might all come to naught. And so might the victims of Canada’s worst mass killing: Mad denturist Gabriel Wortman’s April 2020 rampage through central Nova Scotia that left 22 dead. Back in Nova Scotia, it’s more complicated. (Among other things, the scores of journalists that would otherwise have descended on Nova Scotia were stuck at home.) It is telling, perhaps, that the Nova Scotia and federal governments at first resisted calls even to hold an inquiry, before caving amidst howls of protest.
