Apparently the real superspreaders of the virus are the elderly (the elderly and the obese). Meanwhile, yet another new mutant strain that weakens the vaccine has been found in Britain. I don’t want to be gloom and doom when there is so much good news around. Nor trigger those who already feel resentful that the tier system is weighted so heavily in the elderly’s favour. I worry that even as we are nearing the end of lockdown, it’s the old, though they were vaccinated first, who will be the very last to venture out.
