CJL, LHRC Call On Liberians During These Holidays To Remember War Victims -

Coalition For Justice in Liberia (CJL) and the Liberia Human Rights Campaign (LHRC), U.S based human rights organizations, are calling on all Liberians, Friends of Liberia, Human rights organizations, Faith-based organizations globally during this holidays season to remember and not forget all of Liberia’s war victims, dead or alive, especially, on this 28th Anniversary of the Liberian violence. Many Liberian war survivors’ holidays seasons have never been the same due to the effects of the violence on their lives, that include persistent pains in their bodies due to torture or gun shot wounds, along with trauma, and nightmares which keep inflicting on their minds grim memories of the evils they endured as the result of the war. Despite 12 years of declared peace, Liberia is still a country where justice remains elusive and impunity remains an all time high.
