Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed dismissed on Saturday the notion of any ‘institutional pressure’ on the judiciary. It should be noted that Justice Ali Ahmad Kurd had claimed the judiciary was facing pressure from the ‘institutions’. Chief Justice Ahmed expressed anger over Justice Kurd's remarks and urged him to read the judgments of the courts. The chief justice further added that he had always made decisions according to justice and conscience. The courts are working according to justice and they are free to decide what they want,” the CJP added.
